Introduction

The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is the largest uniformed youth organization in India. It instills in students the values of discipline, leadership, character, and service to the nation. Functioning under the Ministry of Defence, NCC provides exposure to the Army, Navy, and Air Force wings, thereby nurturing future leaders in every field of life.

    NCC ‘C’ Certificate holders are eligible for special entries in Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force without UPSC written exams.
    Cadets can appear directly for the SSB Interview, paving the way for a prestigious career as a Commissioned Officer.

NCC Camps – Seniority Wise

Highest Value (National Level & Selection Based)
  • Republic Day Camp (RDC) – The most prestigious camp held in New Delhi. Cadets get the honor of performing before the Prime Minister and the President of India.
  • Thal Sainik Camp (TSC) – For Army Wing cadets, focusing on weapon training, map reading, and field craft.
  • Vayu Sainik Camp (VSC) – For Air Wing cadets, providing exposure to aviation, aero-modelling, and flying-related activities.
  • Nausainik Camp (NSC) – For Naval Wing cadets, emphasizing seamanship, regatta, and naval training.
  • Youth Exchange Programme (YEP) – Selected cadets represent India abroad, showcasing the country’s culture and youth power.
Medium Value (National / Directorate Level)
  • All India Trekking & Adventure Camps – Activities such as trekking, mountaineering, and river rafting that build stamina and courage.
  • All India Leadership Camp (AILC) – Focused on leadership skills, teamwork, and management qualities.
  • All India Rock Climbing Camp – Enhances endurance, adventure spirit, and physical strength.
  • National Integration Camp (NIC) – Promotes unity in diversity by bringing cadets from different states together.

  • Annual Training Camp (ATC) – The most common camp; mandatory for cadets to qualify for NCC certificates.
