Founded in 2017, the Department of Vocational Studies at NSCBM Government Degree College, Anu, Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh, has a distinguished history that is a testament to its commitment to excellence. The department is renowned for its dedicated faculty, outstanding students, a dynamic academic environment, and a rich tapestry of extracurricular activities, all of which contribute to a vibrant and holistic educational experience.
Our primary focus is on delivering comprehensive undergraduate programs that are thoughtfully designed to meet the diverse needs of our students. We take pride in our specialization in the Hospitality and Tourism stream, a field known for its strong alignment with real-world job opportunities, providing our graduates with a competitive edge in the professional world.

- Practical Experience and industry exposure of the students have been developed to the extent that they are job ready after their UG degree.
- Govt Support for the Placement and On the Job Trainings being a key factor in the development of the course.
- Earning during their learning (Skill development allowance and Stipends during OJT) help students with financial constraints to cope with the fancy fee structures of private colleges.
- Vocational Courses have been helping students to get industry ready during their 3 year courses with campus placement and handsome salary packages.
- Improve the knowledge and professional skills of the students.

Achievements:
In response to the prevailing demand, the entire department team is wholeheartedly dedicated to enhancing the prospects of our students’ futures. Our collective performance has been truly praiseworthy. The selection of On-the-Job Training (OJT) locations adheres to established standards and proves highly advantageous for our students. The faculty and coordinators maintain consistent communication and demonstrate unwavering commitment to achieving excellence in providing effective training to our students.

H&T students secured placement in different Hotel industries like Oberoi’s, Marriot, Royal tulip Shimla, ITC Shimla, Niramya by Surya Villas, Wood Creek Kasauli, ITC Welcome Heritage Parv Villas, Taj Group of hotels.
