Introduction

In addition to providing instruction and outreach programs, educational establishments must foster innovation, conduct studies, and provide a comfortable atmosphere. Innovative educational methods and booming research demand intellectual property rights (IPR). IPR is essential to giving an organization a competitive edge. Successful project and research initiative management is the primary focus of academic and research institutions. All parties involved will gain from the protection of their intellectual property. Any property that a person creates and owns as a result of their human intelligence is referred to as intellectual property. Copyrighted works, such as new or improved devices, circuits, chemical compounds, drugs, genetically engineered biological organisms, data sets, software, musical processes, or original and creative uses of already-existing inventions, are examples of intellectual property rights. Trade secrets, patents, trademarks, copy rights, and other species, such as computer software or printed material, are also included. In order to support research and give researchers a comfortable environment, the college formed the IPR Cell. The college's IPR Cell seeks to educate the institution's stakeholders about intellectual property rights.

The National IPR policy was updated by the Indian government in May 2016. On May 12, 2016, the Union Cabinet gave its approval to the National Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Policy. The Policy acknowledges the need to channel India's abundant creative and innovative energies toward a better, more promising future. The National IPR Policy is a vision statement that unifies all intellectual property rights onto one platform. It attempts to establish and capitalize on synergies between all types of intellectual property (IP), relevant statutes and agencies, and an all-encompassing perspective on IPRs that considers all interconnections. It establishes an institutional

framework for execution, oversight, and evaluation. It seeks to apply and modify international best practices to the Indian context. In addition to providing instruction and outreach programs, educational establishments must foster innovation, conduct studies, and provide a comfortable atmosphere.
